Description: MOTSAM 3 has been released as a PROVISIONAL issue for a trial period of about one year, during which feedback and comment from users will be welcomed.

Note:

  • MOTSAM 2 - Section 6: Motorway Pavement Markings has been withdrawn and is replaced by MOTSAM 3 - Section 12: Markings.

  • MOTSAM 3 is the standard for determining the signs and markings required on state highway motorways and expressways and, from 1 June 2004, it must be used for all new and upgrading work on these roads.

  • During the provisional period the manual may be amended from time to time to incorporate important corrections and/or amendments - the revision date for each section is shown in the listing below.
