Hawke's Bay Region

Road works within Hawke's Bay region.

Routine maintenace work is underway throughout the network. Please observe signage, some delays may be experienced

SH2 Kotemaori and Begleys Culvert
Seal widening and associated drainage work is to be completed at Kotemaori and Begleys Culvert over the next seven weeks. The sites will be under 30 km/h speed restriction while work is undertaken during the day or will be under 50km/h speed restriction when unattended and at night. Some delays are likely.

SH2 Various locations
The annual remarking of road lines continues. Road marking equipment will be in traffic lanes over the next few weeks. Motorists should expect slight delays while lines are repainted and cones are on the road. Please take special care while passing equipment.

SH2 near Wairoa
The annual pavement recycling programme continues on SH2 near Wairoa. The recycling programme involves resealing of short sections of various state highways to improve the surface. It is expected to be complete by around Easter. Motorists should expect some slight delays through sites under speed restrictions. Loose chip may be present immediately following resealing.

SH2 Waitangi Bridge near Awatoto (5km south of Marine Parade Napier)
Work continues on the Waitangi Bridge to construct a clip-on cycle & walkway on the eastern side of bridge. While the crane is working, the bridge will be under one lane operation. This may occur between the hours of 9am and 4pm, weekdays, with a temporary speed restriction of 30km/hr.

SH50 Tutaekuri River Bridge just south of Napier
Joint and handrail repair works will be underway, at night, on Tutaekuri River Bridge just south of Napier. Work will require single lane working under traffic signal control, with a 30km/h speed restriction. Some delays may be experienced
