| Engineering Features: | A Northbound tunnel will be constructed beneath Victoria Park and the existing viaduct will be retained and upgraded for southbound traffic, combined with lane additions through St Mary's Bay. |
| Environment Features: | Retention of Victoria Park as open space. There will be transparent noise walls along St Mary's Bay and solid noise walls along Freeman's Bay. Key heritage icons will be retained or preserved. |
| Interesting Facts: | This is Auckland's first tunnel and it will be 440m in length. |
