Roadworks on Hawke's Bay Expressway this month
Transit
New Zealand
advises motorists that it will be carrying out roadworks on the SH50 Hawke's
Bay Expressway throughout the month of April.
Contractors will be reconstructing a section of the road pavement between
Pakowhai Rd
and
Evenden Rd.
The work will be carried out on one side of the road at a time, enabling two
lanes of traffic to remain open throughout construction.
Construction is due to commence on Monday 7 April from 8.30am to 5pm daily. The
site will be well signposted under a temporary speed restriction.
Minimal delays not expected to exceed ten minutes may be experienced on
occasions during the construction period.
Transit regional manager Rob Bramley thanks the public for their patience for
this necessary pavement reconstruction work and reminds motorists to drive
through the work site with care to ensure the safety of contractors, other road
users and themselves.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of April.
